GOGLASSCUP Violet Shippo Japanese Edo Kiriko Whisky Glass

The Violet Shippo Whisky Glass captivates with its mesmerizing geometric designs, reflecting a perfect blend of tradition and modernity. Crafted from premium glass, it offers unparalleled clarity and brilliance, enhancing the visual experience of your favorite spirits. Its sturdy construction ensures durability while maintaining an elegant, delicate appearance.

Looking down from the mouth of the glass, it is even more exquisite, with both the gorgeous dome version of the palace and the magical charm of the kaleidoscope. The purple and transparent color scheme is more crystal clear and high-end with the embellishment of the wine.

Hot Blowing
Generally, the molding methods of glassware manufacturing are divided into two types: manual blowing and machine blowing. Among them, the manual blowing technique, commonly known as "blowing big bubbles", was introduced to China from Central Asia in the 5th century. After melting raw materials such as quartz sand and borax in a high-temperature furnace at 1200℃, the craftsman blows air through a hot blow rod to expand the molten material. After hundreds of repeated rotations and blowing, a prototype multi-layer color blank is obtained. Then it is returned to the furnace for cooling and calcination...

Cold cutting
Using the Japanese Edo Kiriko production technique, from blowing to carving, the whole process is handmade. The daily production capacity of skilled craftsmen is dozens of times that of commercially available molded products. It can be said that each Glass is the result of the hard work of craftsmen. In the cold cutting and carving step, diamond grinding wheels will be used to carve more detailed patterns. After the patterns are carved out, the surface pattern of the glass has basically taken shape. Craftsmen will use markers to draw the basic position of the pattern to be carved, and then use diamond grinding wheels dipped in water to grind the general outline of the pattern on the surface of the glass. After carving, the cut part reveals the different colors inside.

Because the glass body is a cut carved texture and is not heat-resistant, it is not suitable for hot drinks. Excessive temperature will cause damage. The maximum temperature is recommended not to exceed 60°C. It is forbidden to use it in a disinfection cabinet or dishwasher.
Due to the hand-made hot-blown carving, there may be slight differences in the pattern and color. The Glass body may have slight hand-made marks, micro-bubbles, water marks and fine impurities. The craftsmanship is limited and it is not a defective quality problem.
